PRETTY DETAILS | Brass Candlesticks

Did you spot those antique brass candlesticks in  yesterday's post? I think they're such a wonderful addition to any tablescape regardless of the season.  Cluster them with or without flowers and see your table transform. Now go check out your nearest flea market or your mama's basement for these pretties.

#225 | Blood Orange + Smoky Grey

Blood oranges are not visually beautiful but delicious as well.  Their ruby red flesh make for an unusual but exciting winter wedding inspiration and the smoky gray balances it all.

SIGNATURE SIP | Blackberry Vanilla Cocktail Floats

Who says floats are just for kids?  Loving this adult version with blackberries and vanilla. Yum!

Blackberry Vanilla Cocktail Floats

Serves 4

2 cups Blackberries
1/2 cup Sugar
1/4 cup Water
4 cups Club Soda
Vanilla Ice Cream
Gin (or vanilla vodka)
Rosemary and extra blackberries, for garnish

INSTRUCTIONS

In a large saucepan, bring berries, sugar and water to a boil, stirring occasionally. Let cook for 10-15 minutes until juices are released. Press through a fine mesh sieve into a bowl and let cool completely.  Mix the blackberry syrup with the club soda.  Place one scoop of vanilla ice cream into a glass. Pour liquor of choice overtop of your ice cream, top with blackberry soda and garnish with rosemary and an additional berry!
